Anne Kreft Flute

Anne Kreft began studying music at four and flute at eleven. Anne graduated from the University of Michigan, where she was awarded the Ruth C. Merril Dana Scholarship and was a finalist in the University Concerto Competition. She has done graduate work at the New England Conservatory. Anne holds a Master of Music degree from Northern Illinois University where she studied with Peter Middleton. Former teachers include Donna Milanovich, Fenwick Smith, Judith Bentley, and Keith Bryan. Masterclasses were with William Bennett, Tadeu Coelho, Harvey Solberger, and James Galway. Anne has toured Japan with the Valley Woodwind Quintet and has frequently appeared as a featured artist with the New Philharmonic. She actively freelances in the Chicago area and currently performs with the DuPage Opera Theatre and the New Philharmonic. She is on the wind faculty College of DuPage and Illinois Benedictine University.
